The Aspire team has been working with Club Peloton on their industry rides for a number of years, covering their flagship annual Cycle to MIPIM, pedElle and Cycle to MAPIC which recently took place over four days from 10-14 November.
Aspire Senior Consultant, Mark Woods, has been on the road with the Cycle to MAPIC peloton and the Club Peloton support crew to capture the daily action and get some behind the scenes footage of their epic journey to Cannes. Mark specialises in live social media coverage and has worked on events such as Comic Relief and Sports Relief for many years. Unlike Cycle to MIPIM, all cyclists ride the whole distance, so no rests in the support van, the full 700km is completed by each rider – no mean feat! Riders this year included Channel 5 News presenter, Matt Barbet, a big cycling fan who has worked with the Tour of Britain ride for the last few years.
Focusing on getting some great content, the media team have been able to showcase the great achievements of the riders across Club Peloton’s social media channels, from live daily updates on twitter and Facebook Live to highlights on Instagram Stories and Classic. This live feed of content allowed friends, family, colleagues and those planning their next fundraising/challenge event to get a real insight into what’s involved in one of these fantastic rides.
Louisa and Mark headed over to the home of Coram, one of the charity beneficiaries for Cycle to MIPIM, which will take place in March 2018, for the recent launch event. With a museum hall full of property professionals and budding cyclists, the Club Peloton team presented many enticing reasons why they should embark on this unique cycling opportunity.
