Our task was to gain maximum exposure for The Triathlon Show to ensure a high calibre of exhibitors and good visitor traffic over the three event days. We worked as an extension of the TCR Shows team to align sales and marketing plans. We supported all exhibitors with promotions and managed the press office during the event.
We dissected all aspects of the show to create a strong media content plan for the lead up to the event. Aside from the initial launch release, we collated regular news bulletins to ensure a steady feed of newsworthy information. This resulted in a constant stream of coverage promoting the show’s many highlights. We managed all media relations, blogger outreach, exhibitor communications, partnerships and social media. During the event we managed the Press Office, including hosting any journalists attending the event.
Aspire were retained to manage the PR for the Triathlon Show for 4 years and the show experienced year on year growth over this period, to a peak, when it was sold to a well-known publisher in 2013. We secured regular coverage in all specialist industry publications and also in a range of national and lifestyle media. Coverage in numbers reached more than 250 pieces over the contracted period and the social media community grew by 75%. Each year we liaised with the 50 exhibitors to support them in their efforts to promote both themselves and the show to their communities. We nurtured relationships with key brands and high-profile personalities and utilised their presence to gain significant public and media interest. The shows seminar and workshop programme also gave us another strong angle for gaining futrher exposure. We introduced a live Twitter feed at the show and encouraged exhibitors to liven up their event activities to create a fantastic buzz throughout the venue.
Aspire’s role was to provide full PR and social media services for The Triathlon Show, creating exposure for the exhibitors and the show itself. This included writing and distributing press releases and media alerts, media management, creating social media campaigns before, during and after the show.
