Old, new or revamped, below are Aspire’s key events for spring and summer this year.
Triathlon Show London 29 – 31st March
The UK’s most popular triathlon focused trade show returns this spring with over 300 brands on offer, a plethora of speakers and talks, as well as running alongside its sister event, The London Bike Show. The Brownlee brothers are opening the event for 2019, which alone speaks for the popularity and success of Triathlon. The expo gives businesses, triathletes and the public a chance to check out the latest kit and to hear from the industries best. Aspire’s flagship client On will be present, showing off their new season kit and offering advice from their extensive triathlon heritage. Be sure to keep an eye out for the new shoe from On, due for release at the end of February.
The organisers are pushing for “bigger and better”. A chance to test the latest and greatest wetsuit technology, on-site swimming coaching and an area featuring pro athletes, where both amateurs and seasoned competitors can enquire about the ins and outs of triathlete life. (The above are just a handful of the opportunities available, more information at http://triathlonshowlondon.co.uk/whats-on.)
It’s great to see Triathlon sticking to its roots and keeping the show as hands on as possible. Worth checking out if you’re at all interested in putting one foot in front of the other, or one pedal, you know what we mean…
Women’s Health Live London 3rd – 5th May
Originally under the alias, Be:Fit, Women’s Health Live is a new and improved trade show for everything wellbeing and fitness. The event is centered around a few key areas. A main stage dedicated to debate panels and industry interviews, fitness spaces for consumer participation (weightlifting, yoga and workout seminars) and a “Boutique Village”, where brands and businesses can display their work in a traditional trade show layout. There is also a zone for nutritionists and scientists to impart their wisdom on health and fitness matters.
With the magazine reaching out to over 22 million fans, this show should be on the calendar for every lifestyle brand in the book. Claire Sanderson, Editor-in-Chief of Women’s Health UK, says; “Over the three days, we’ll connect our readers with some of the best-respected brands, influencers and qualified experts in the community to help them build a body for life”. We hope the event brings a fresh take on wellbeing expos and look forward to checking it out. Balance Festival London 10th – 12th May
“Join the UK’s largest celebration of the wellness movement…” is the tagline for this year’s Balance Festival. Fitness and health have always been at the core of the organisation, and 2019 is no different. The show once again, brings a limitless amount of inventive workout and wellbeing sessions; yoga, spinning, weightlifting, the list goes on and on.
The event also shows off some of the best boutique studios London can offer, with more opportunities to “test drive” them to your hearts content. All activities are tailored so that gym/leisure centre owners, personal trainers and fitness instructors (as well as the general public) can try new industry trends ahead of the curve, to then go on and implement them down the line. There is a large focus on food and nutrition too, with exercise and diet going hand in hand, the festival prides itself on presenting the latest in nutritional trends.
If you are at all passionate about any of the above, with a keen interest for the fitness trade, Balance Festival should meet your every need.
OutDoor by ISPO Munich June 30th – July 3rd
From the brains behind one of the biggest sporting/fashion expos in Europe (and the world), OutDoor by ISPO is born. The organisers are made up of prominent industry players who have challenged themselves to come up with a new OutDoor focused event, where specific parts of the industry can be targeted, areas that are sometimes overlooked at ISPO Munich. These include dedicated sectors for paddle sports, mountain biking and Yoga (for the complete list see, https://www.ispo.com/en/outdoor/segments/outdoorplus).
The event is also trialing a new concept, the idea of a year-round platform, in which consumers and businesses alike can integrate with each other. Aspects of this ongoing platform include a new OutDoor Society Online Magazine as well as B2C Outdays, where consumers can get even more involved with outdoor activities and brands over the trade show weekend.
The event is shaping up to be THE outdoor expo in the industry calendar, a great opportunity for smaller brands that may have been overshadowed previously to showcase what they have to offer. It will surely draw enthusiasts from all walks of life. Definitely one to watch, we expect space to run out very quickly.
Soul Circus Cotswolds 16th – 18th August
With Soul Circus being the only ‘Festival’ in our list, it’s a slightly different occasion. Aspire picked up Soul Circus as a client during their 2ndyear, assisting them with ticket sales and improving the event reach. From a B2B perspective, it may not be quite as lucrative as the expos we have discussed above, but if what you’re after is a weekend of very good vibes, great food and fantastic live music, then look no further.
Through our collaborative efforts, the event has climbed the festival ladder and cemented itself as a key yoga and wellness weekend for British summertime. Soul Circus offers up an expansive and quality selection of yoga opportunities, an eclectic mix of musicians and a locally sourced assortment of food and beverage outlets. Sustainability has a strong influence on the weekend, and this is reflected in everything they do.
For 2019, 300 classes, demos and workshops, 45+ hours of live music entertainment and 12 unique class venues have been curated so that you get the utmost out of the yoga and wellness experience. If you want to run for the hills and escape from the expo world, this might just be the festival for you.

The list above should give you an informative look into what we think are the most important industry (and recreational) events for spring and summer 2019. All the events discussed can and will be beneficial from a business perspective, they also offer up an opportunity to experience innovation and creativity, and for the relevant industries that demand both, this can be invaluable. Whichever sector you find yourself in, we hope you find inspiration in our choices.
